Homes Of Our
Own
Since 1996, the TCBA Homes of Our Own program
has provided one "outdoor classroom" each year
to a school along the Treasure Coast. All construction
materials and time are donated by TCBA members.
The program is modeled after a national program
and consists of a video, coloring and activity
books, discussion guide, tree planting guide and
more that teaches elementary school students about
the home building process and tree preservation.
It's also a fun way to show children how what
they learn in their math and science classrooms
is put to practical use.
