IRCC
Framer Program
The TCBA/Indian River Community College Carpentry
Qualified Framer program was founded in 1993 after
a grant from the Department of Labor created three
pilot programs in the United States. It is a 1200-clock
hour program in Residential Carpentry. Training
activities include instruction in safety, and
the processes found in the trade. This hands-on
program prepares high-quality, entry level carpenters
for the building construction industry. The program
combines training in construction specialties
and basic academics in both classroom and actual
job site settings.
