Medallion Awards

Outstanding achievements in the field of sales, marketing and building design contribute substantially to business success. The MEDALLION Awards is the "Masters of the Building Profession. It recognizes and honors excellence with the building industry. Participants have a choice of 73 categories in which to be judged. The competition draws entries from across the Treasure Coast. Winners are announced and celebrated at the Awards Gala.

Criteria & Selection

Eligibility
All TCBA members or affiliated NAHB members are eligible to enter the MEDALLION Awards. The competition is open to all categories with NEW products / model homes available for sale from July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2005, in Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River Counties. Previous Gold award-winning entries are ineligible.

How to Enter
Complete a registration form, one per entry, and return to TCBA with appropriate fee(s). Upon receipt of your form and payment, an "Entry Kit" customized to your selected category(ies) will be mailed to you.

Judging
A judging team comprised of recognized industry professionals will visit each site and/or review all entries. Judging is based on the Entry Kit data, materials submitted and "on-site" reviews relative to the category criteria.

Million Dollar Medallion Salesperson: $50 per entry
Individual Achievement: $100 per entry
Design, Marketing & Community Categories: $175 per entry ($150 for three or more)

Individual Achievement Categories



MILLION DOLLAR MEDALLION NEW HOME SALESPERSON AWARD
All sales persons that have sold at least one (1) million dollars in closed home sales from July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2005 are eligible to enter.






MILLION DOLLAR MEDALLION ASSOCIATE SALESPERSON AWARD
All sales persons that have sold at least one (1) million dollars in services and or products for the building industry from July 1, 2004 to June 30, 2005 are eligible to enter. Bank Loan Officers must have acquired ten (10) million dollars in sales (in same period) to be eligible to enter.











SALES PERSON, ROOKIE SALESPERSON AND ASSOCIATE MEMBER SALESPERSON OF THE YEAR
Entries judged on the following:


Professional techniques and innovative ideas used in selling homes

Service to and involvement in the industry


Candidate's sales performance both in dollar volume and number of units closed between July 1, 2004 and June 30, 2005. An internal sales report required, signed by builder/broker/owner.










SALES MANAGER OF THE YEAR
Entries judged on outline written by employer which include the following:


Performance, accomplishments, challenges in the past year

Number of salespersons and/or communities supervised

Unique sales programs and/or sales training implemented during the year
Total dollar volume and units sold in communities supervised
Service and or contributions to the industry












MARKETING DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR
Entries judged on professionalism in approach to developing marketing plans, implementing objectives, formulation of unique marketing programs and personal contribution to the industry. Open to persons directly responsible for marketing and promoting company. Outline written by employer to include the following:


Performance, accomplishments, challenges in the past year

Unique marketing programs implemented during the year

Total dollar volume of work generated and/or units sold
Service and or contributions to the industry

Entries will be judged on overall architectural design, floor plan function and design, curb appeal, innovativeness and appeal to target market

Entries judged on the livability, quality and effectiveness of the design as it relates to the target market; also use of color, texture, materials, lighting, interior space, furniture, accessories, window and wall treatments.

Best landscaping for new home with base sales price over $500,000

Best new pool
Best outdoor leisure area






CRAFTSMANSHIP
Entries judged on the basis of creativity, quality, workmanship and use of materials as it relates to the overall product/design for:


Building trade specialties such as cabinetry, drywall, stucco, millwork, paint, etc.









COMMUNITIES
Entries judged on the quality of the design and appropriateness of the overall amenity package, model homes, streetscapes and signage as it relates to target market.

CLUB HOUSE / AMENITIES
Entries judged on the overall ability of the clubhouse to meet the needs of the community, the amenity package offered, the architectural and interior design and floor plan function:

Entries judged on the overall ability to visually communicate information and theme of product and/or builder image, floor plan layout and functionality of sales environment for:
